Orthodontic treatment from £1500 for both upper and lower teeth.

 

What is orthodontics?
Orthodontics uses gentle forces to straighten teeth to give a beautiful smile. It can be done in both adults or children. There is no age limit.

 

Why have treatment at Evolve?
We can offer you the convenience of specialist care in Portishead, a lot of people find that they have to travel into Bristol or Weston-Super-mare for their braces. At Evolve we have a specialist orthodontist, Dr Lisa Hichens BDS MFDS Morth DDS, who is currently the only specialist orthodontist available in Portishead.

 

Why would my child need a brace?
If your child's teeth are crowded, the perfect time to straighten them is during the teenage years, a lot of their friends will be wearing braces and the teeth can move quite quickly whilst your child is growing.

 

Will teeth have to be taken out?
Sometimes but not always, this would be fully discussed at your consultation.

 

How long does it take?
Sometimes as little as 6 weeks, but an average length of treatment is 12-18 months

 

How much does is cost?
An initial consultation costs £60 and includes all study models and X-rays required. The total cost varies on the type of treatment, but as most teenagers are happy to wear the metal braces rather then the more invisible systems, we are able to offer treatment from £1500 for both upper and lower teeth.

 

Is the treatment private or NHS?
We are not able to offer NHS treatment as we do not have a contract with North Somerset Primary Care Trust, so all the treatment would be private. We have priced our treatment very competitively to make it affordable to as many people as possible.

 

How do I pay?
Most people like to spread the cost of treatment, so pay a 30% deposit initially and then set up a standing order to pay the rest over a 10 month period. If your treatment is scheduled to take longer, we spread the payments over a longer period.

 

Can my child come to you if I already have a dentist?
Yes, we are happy to carry out your orthodontic treatment and you would continue to see your own dentist for all your routine treatment.
