There is no reason to be afraid of going to the dentist but all too often we meet people who have had a bad experience in childhood, and this affects them for the rest of their lives.
We welcome children into the practice and have mini iPads for them to play with or they can watch a DVD on a personal DVD player. We always make sure that we listen to their concerns and where possible include them in the decision making.
At Evolve Dentistry we do not believe in forcing children to do anything that they don’t want to do, and we always aim to keep treatments pain-free and pleasant. We recommend that you take your children to the dentist from around 18 months but not every child is ready at that time, so keep taking them regularly and usually by aged 3 years, most children will happily sit in our chair and have their teeth checked.
A good dental experience as a child will allow for a long lasting and positive approach to dental care.
