Restore Your Smile with Natural-Looking White Fillings

At Evolve Dentistry, our white (composite) fillings blend seamlessly with your natural teeth. Made from a tooth-coloured resin, they’re both discreet and strong—ideal for repairing decay, small chips, or old metal fillings.

Why Choose White Fillings?

  • Aesthetic – completely inconspicuous as they match your natural tooth shade.
  • Mercury-free – no more traditional silver amalgam.
  • Conservative – bond to your tooth, requiring less removal of healthy structure.
  • Durable – long-lasting when cared for, ideal for front or back teeth.

Our White Filling Process

  • Consultation & removal – any decay or damaged material is gently removed under local anaesthetic.
  • Shaping & bonding – tooth is etched, bonding applied, then composite layered.
  • Finishing – material is hardened under a visible blus light and polished for smooth, natural feel.

FAQs – White Fillings

  1. What are white fillings made of?

A strong resin composite matched to your tooth colour.

  1. How long do they last?

Typically 5–10 years, often longer with excellent oral care.

  1. Do they contain mercury?

No—they’re fully mercury-free.

  1. Can existing amalgam be replaced?

Yes—many patients swap to white fillings for aesthetic or health reasons.

  1. Is the procedure painful?

We use local anaesthetic to make it entirely comfortable.

  1. How are they cared for?

Brush twice daily, floss regularly and attend dental reviews.

  1. Do they stain?

Composite can stain over time; regular polishing helps maintain appearance. However, at Evolve, because we aim to place all our composite resins under rubber dam, this reduces the staining.

  1. What if they chip or fall out?

Small repairs are straightforward; larger issues may require replacement.

  1. Can white fillings be used on back teeth (molars)?

Yes, modern composite materials are strong enough for use on back teeth, providing both durability and a natural appearance when you smile or talk.
