Over the past couple of decades, cosmetic dentistry has become incredibly popular, especially amongst celebrities and high-profile figures. The celebrity industry is (wrongly or rightly) governed by image. An unattractive image of a celebrity eating junk food can end up splashed across the internet, and their body image and weight journeys are regularly scrutinised in the press. Here are some of the famous celebrities who have had cosmetic dentistry.
1. Niall Horan
Niall, of One Direction fame, wore invisible braces for more than 15 months during the height of the boyband’s career. When his braces were removed in 2013, it even become somewhat of a news story and fans waited eagerly to see the results.
2. Simon Cowell
The music and talent show mogul is certainly not a stranger to achieving those pearly whites. He has been open about undergoing cosmetic dentistry – veneers and teeth whitening – so much so that he even when as far as to publicly thank his dentist in his acceptance speech at the National Television Awards a few years ago!
3. Cheryl
Former Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl was known for her dimples and ‘girl next door’ look when she first appeared on Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. Back then, her smile was not as you see it today. Cheryl has undergone teeth straightening and whitening to help her get the gorgeous smile we see now.
4. Chloe Ferry
The Geordie Shore star – and ice skater – has been very vocal about her love for cosmetic procedures, and her teeth are no exception to this. The MTV personality has had dental veneers put in in order to create a sparkling and dazzling smile.
5. Beyonce
Beyonce is widely recognised as a huge influencer of modern music and her music empire continues to grow, along with her husband Jay Z, making them one of the most powerful celebrity couples to date.
