Is there any injection for hair growth?

Yes, here at Evolve we are pleased to offer PRP hair rejuvenation therapy – one of the very latest treatments for hair loss.

Do plasma injections work for hair loss?

Yes, they work by harnessing the healing and restorative properties of platelets from your own blood. The procedure involves taking around 10ml of your blood, extracting the platelets and plasma in a centrifuge, then re-injecting it into your scalp to stimulate the hair follicles, thereby boosting hair count and thickness.

What are the benefits of PRP hair rejuvenation?

The procedure has 3 key benefits: 1) It stimulates greater and thicker hair regrowth; 2) Continuous treatments help boost collagen production, allowing for continual improvements; 3) There is minimal risk of an adverse reaction and no risk of over-treatment, given that it uses your own blood platelets.

Are plasma injections painful?

Patients typically report only mild discomfort during the procedure, although this usually quickly subsides. There is no need for numbing cream, as it has not been found to be useful when treating the scalp.

What are the side effects of PRP hair rejuvenation?

The good news is that, since the procedure uses your own blood platelets, adverse or allergic reactions are rare. The treated areas may appear slightly red or feel hot for 1 or 2 hours post-procedure but this should soon go away. Some minor bruising may occur but we make every effort to avoid this.

How long does it take for platelet rich plasma to work?

We recommend that you have two initial appointments 4 weeks apart, if there is new hair growth seen, then we recommend a further 4 treatments once a month with a maintenance treatment every 6 months. You can expect to see new hair growth around 4 weeks after your second appointment.

How long does PRP last for hair?

After an initial course of 4-6 treatments, results will typically last 6 to 12 months. However, for optimum results, we then recommend patients come for maintenance appointments at regular intervals twice a year.

How much does platelet replacement therapy cost?

At Evolve, we charge £200 per session, with 4-6 sessions recommended for best results. Before your first treatment, we ask all patients to come for a no-obligation 20-minute consultation, so we can discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions you may have.
