I chipped my front tooth in a swimming pool when I was 13. I had a wire brace mounted on a plate which I could remove – because of teasing I didn’t wear it very much and then time just passed so I never did anything more with it. I have always been very self conscious about my smile. I would always make sure pictures were taken on my right hand side so you would not be able to see the gap or crooked tooth. If you asked any of my friends or family, they would never have thought it looked unsightly because that’s how I had always looked. However, I hated meeting new people because of how I looked. It took until lock down, when I was discussing it with my husband and he said he never knew it affected me so much all these years so said he wanted me to go and make some enquiries to get it fixed.
We always used to walk past Evolve on our walks so that seemed a good place to start. As it turns out, Evolve were amazing and understood what I was talking about and not only that – my awful smile could be fixed!
Carol and the team made me so welcome and never judged what I looked like. So I had fixed braces on the top for about a year. It was amazing to see the progress. I had the braces removed and then whitened, then finally Bioclear bonding to fix the chipped tooth from over 30 years ago.
I have never been so happy and so overwhelmed with my new smile. I could not stop showing my new smile off and more than that I was blown away with people saying how great my teeth were. I still have that feeling a few years on now. Friends and family now say they can’t believe how bad they were, one friend always asks me to show people pictures of my smile before treatment! The transformation is amazing.
