People often feel that they have ‘bad teeth’, if this is you, we’ve put together the following information to help you understand a little more about what can be done to help.
Can ‘bad teeth’ be saved?
If you have a tooth that is causing you pain, you may be wondering if your tooth can be saved, or if having it removed is your only option. This will depend on the reason that the tooth is causing you pain. Often the tooth can be saved by your dentist, who may prescribe a filling, root canal treatment, or a course of antibiotics, the treatment will depend on the specific problem that tooth has.
What causes bad teeth in adults?
Cavities, which are as a result of decay or caries in your teeth, are permanently damaged areas of the hard surface of your teeth. These can become tiny openings or holes. These can be caused by a number of factors, including bacteria in your mouth, frequent snacking, sugary drinks and not cleaning your teeth regularly.
How do you fixed decayed teeth?
There are a number of options available to restore fixed teeth, your dentist will advise you which options are most suitable depending on your specific situation. They may suggest a filling, a crown (also known as a cap) or root canal treatment.
