The iTero Scanner is used by dentists, orthodontists and hygienists to digitally scan your mouth. The scanner generates a 3D image of your teeth and gums, that can be used for planning teeth straightening such as Invisalign, identify wear on your teeth, or changes in recession. Because the iTero scanner creates a digital impression, it removes the need for traditional dental impressions. Your dentist can show you what your teeth might look like if they are straight, or can demonstrate any changes in your mouth with subsequent scans.

The iTero scanner uses optical technology to digitally capture the structure of the teeth and gums. It’s a radiation free laser, that creates a 3D impression of your teeth and soft tissue structure.
Yes, the iTero scanners are very safe, as well as comfortable, quick and accurate. The scan is painless, the wand is used to hover over your teeth to capture the digital image of your mouth. No radiation is used, which makes it safe to use for pregnant people as well. It’s a 3D photo of your teeth.
