Justine had her brace taken off some time ago, but we have been so busy that we forgot to post the final photos. Justine had her brace on for just over 4 months in total, at the end of her treatment she whitened her teeth with a custom made home whitening kit.
In order to keep her teeth in the new position, Justine has been fitted with fixed and removable retainers. It is such an important part of orthodontic treatment that is often overlooked. If your teeth can straighten quickly, they can also move back quickly. At Evolve we include in the price of your treatment both fixed and removable retainers as well as free home tooth whitening. We recommend that you wear the removable retainer every night for 6 months, then every other night for 3 months and then twice a week overnight for the rest of your life.
Here is Justine’s new smile:
Smile after Six Month Smiles
Can you remember what they looked like before her treatment?
She is delighted with the results!!
Justine says:
“It took me a while to decide to go ahead with Six Month Smiles, but having seen the results that some of our patients were getting and the way that it changed their lives, I decided to go for it. I am so delighted with my new smile, I can’t stop smiling. I think that whitening them really finished it off beautifully. I have gone from someone who tried to hide my smile, especially in photos, to someone who will smile confidently, it has changed my life. I would encourage anyone who is thinking about straightening their teeth to go ahead and do it. My treatment only took 4 months and the time flew past. Whilst I found this brace to be discrete, at Evolve we also do completely invisible braces.”

🪥 Smile hack: timing your tooth brushing
Did you know that brushing your teeth straight after eating isn’t always the best idea?
In this quick video, Maggie explains why it’s better to wait a little while before brushing. After eating, especially acidic foods and drinks, the enamel on your teeth can be temporarily softened. Brushing too soon can actually cause more wear.
Waiting around 30 minutes gives your saliva time to neutralise the acids and protect your teeth.
Watch Maggie’s smile hack to learn the simple change that can help keep your teeth healthier.

What exactly is a dental crown?
In this video, Carol explains how crowns help restore and protect teeth that have been weakened by cracks, root canal treatment or large fillings.
A crown acts like a protective cap, binding the tooth together and giving it the strength it needs for everyday biting and chewing.
Watch the video to learn when a crown may be recommended and how it helps protect your smile.

Did you know that chewing sugar free gum after eating can actually help protect your teeth? 🍬➡️🦷
In this video, Carol explains why dentists often recommend sugar free gum after meals. Chewing gum stimulates saliva, which helps wash away food particles and neutralise acids that can lead to tooth decay.
It’s not a replacement for brushing, but it can be a helpful extra habit when you’re out and about and can’t brush your teeth straight away.
