In this blog, we’re really pleased to be able to share the dental journey of one of our recent patients at Evolve Dentistry in Portishead, Bristol. James came to us because he had always been unhappy with his smile and his upcoming wedding day had given him the impetus to do something about it.
James said: ‘I had lots of gaps in my teeth, I never had them sorted when I was a kid and I called it my “council house smile!” So although I’d always wanted to do something about it, it was our impending wedding that triggered me into finding out what could be done within the timescale that I had.’
‘I shopped around by speaking to three or four orthodontists and although Evolve Dentistry was actually the furthest one away from me, they were definitely my first choice. Not only were they a good couple of hundred pounds cheaper, they were the most helpful right from the word go. Initially I spoke to the receptionist who was very helpful over the phone, and then at my first consultation Lisa, the orthodontist, was just brilliant.’
‘I found everything about the treatment really good. Everyone I spoke took the time to explain each aspect to me – I dealt with Lisa the orthodontist, Joanne the hygienist and also Julie who is the treatment coordinator; she provided me with really useful advice. At each stage they would take plenty of time to explain everything to me, every member of the Evolve team is extremely patient!’
‘I felt really cared for right from the outset. Everyone had the primary concern of getting my treatment done in time for our wedding, so they were all very supportive and were a part of the same pressure that I was under! Because of this there was a real sense that we were all in it together with the same goal and deadline in sight.’
‘There was one point, about three or four weeks before my wedding, when a tweak was made and I wasn’t quite happy when I got home. I told them about my concerns and they booked me straight in to see them the next day; it was even Lisa’s day off but she came in. Everyone at Evolve really made me feel like they cared about me and my treatment.’
‘I am absolutely over the moon with the results; Evolve Dentistry gets a big 10/10 from me! I would recommend them to anyone, not only were they good value for money, they are great at what they do. Everyone was lovely too, especially Lisa, she really cares about her work and her patients; I even looked forward to all of my visits!’
James had orthodontic treatment to close the gaps in his smile using fixed ceramic brackets, which gave him the result he was looking for. We also provided tooth whitening to really make his smile wedding ready and, as you can see, the results speak for themselves!
