For many of us, summer is the season we look forward to the most. With longer, warmer days we can enjoy seeing some of that much-missed sunshine and dust off our favourite sandals. The schools will soon be closing for a good few weeks, which also means that many of us will be able to enjoy more family time and maybe even a well-deserved holiday, too.
With so much to look forward to, it’s a shame that the weather isn’t being very kind to us at the moment. Here at Evolve Dentistry in Portishead, Bristol, we’re just itching to get our summer wardrobe out but the rainy days aren’t letting us! With this in mind, we thought we could all do with a bit of a ‘pick me up’ so why not ask us about our Whitening package, which includes home whitening and hygiene therapy for just £249.
We think the combination of a hygiene treatment prior to tooth whitening is a match made in heaven! Our hygienist will thoroughly clean your teeth, which will help to remove some of the surface stains. She will also provide you with some top tips for home cleaning that will help to keep your teeth clean and white, which is perfect preparation for your whitening treatment.
The whitening treatment we provide is the most safe and effective way to remove the stains and discolouration that gradually and naturally build up on our teeth over time, which cannot be removed with cleaning alone. You will be given a gel that you apply at home for one hour a day over two weeks, leaving your teeth fresher, brighter and sparkling white!

When is root canal treatment needed?
It’s a question many patients ask — and in this video, Richard explains it clearly and simply.
Root canal treatment is usually needed when the nerve inside a tooth becomes inflamed or infected. This can happen because of deep decay, a crack in the tooth, repeated dental work, or sometimes after an injury.
You might experience symptoms like persistent toothache, sensitivity to hot or cold that lingers, pain when biting, or swelling around the gum. However, sometimes there are very few symptoms at all — which is why regular check-ups at the practice are so important.
The good news is that root canal treatment is designed to relieve pain, not cause it. It removes the infection, saves the natural tooth, and helps you avoid extraction.
