We are incredibly proud to share that our principal dentist, Dr Carol Somerville Roberts, has been recognised in Dentistry’s Top 50 2026.
Published annually by Dentistry, the Top 50 celebrates people making an exceptional contribution to the dental profession. The list recognises clinicians, educators, leaders and innovators whose work is helping to shape the future of dentistry across the UK.
Carol’s inclusion reflects not only the care she provides to patients at Evolve Dentistry, but also her wider contribution to the profession through education, leadership and her role as President of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).
Alongside caring for patients at Evolve Dentistry, Carol is proud to serve as President of the BACD, one of the UK’s leading organisations dedicated to promoting excellence in cosmetic dentistry.
In this role, she works alongside fellow clinicians to support education, encourage lifelong learning and help maintain the high standards that patients should expect from modern dentistry.
It is a position that reflects the respect Carol has earned from colleagues throughout the profession and her ongoing commitment to advancing dentistry for both patients and clinicians.
Being recognised in Dentistry’s Top 50 is a reflection of that wider contribution, acknowledging the positive impact she continues to make both inside and outside the practice.
Although Carol is recognised nationally, her philosophy has always remained remarkably simple.

SMART stands for Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal Technique. It is a protocol designed to reduce exposure to mercury vapour and particles while an amalgam filling is being removed.
At Evolve, SMART amalgam removal is available for adults who have made an informed decision to replace their amalgam fillings.
Importantly, we don’t suggest that everyone should have their amalgam fillings removed, and we don’t make claims that removing them will improve your general health.

Gum disease can be surprisingly easy to overlook.
Bleeding when you brush, red or swollen gums, persistent bad breath or gums that seem to be receding are all things worth paying attention to.
The important thing is not to wait until something hurts. Gum disease can develop without causing pain, which is one reason regular dental and hygiene appointments matter.

🦷 Day one, first clinic!
Carol has sent us the first photos from her trip — and what a first day it’s been!
Working alongside five other dentists, the team saw an incredible 197 patients in just one day. ❤️
