In the UK, it is illegal to provide injectable aesthetic treatments to anyone under 18. This includes dermal fillers and wrinkle-relaxing injections (commonly referred to as Botox). This law was introduced to protect young people from making decisions they may later regret and from unnecessary cosmetic procedures at such a young age.
While 18 is the legal minimum, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s the right age for everyone. Facial aesthetic treatments are most commonly sought by people in their late twenties and beyond, when early signs of ageing — such as fine lines, loss of volume, or slight sagging — start to appear.
